Bank of Purchase (vide Einkaufstelle), tasked with purchasing stamp collections for authorities. Established on October 9, 1941, by the Gettoverwaltung. Until December 31, 1943, it amassed philatelic material of the approximate value of 30,000 RM and handed over to the authorities completed collections worth 25,000 RM. The branch was at the disposal of local authorities and the head of the Central Bureau of Labor Divisons at Bałucki Marketsquare [vide Baluter-Ring], A. Jakubowicz [(vide)], completing collections of purchased stamps for the Gettoverwaltung and sending particularly valuable specimens to auctions in Poznan where they were sold at high prices.
The branch employed a small staff (nine to ten people), including three employees who specialized in philately and collaborated in carrying out assignments of the authorities.
Head of the Department was engineer J. Dawidowicz. The office was located at 1 Rybna St.
