Opiekun has a twofold meaning. In a division, it means a former teacher appointed by the Regrouping Committee to care for juvenile employees of that division. It also means a designation by the Guardianship Division1 for the tutor of an orphan – or a child of deported parents – where in regards to the relation with the adopted child, the tutor takes the responsibilities of a father.
